The sponsorship during the Bulgarian Revival is part of an ancient, centuries-old tradition and is a kind of continuation of the donation from previous historical epochs. Religious books are an important part of the books published during the Renaissance. In the period 1806–1856, a total of 77 books were published with assistance, and 24 of them were religious (or 31%). Religious books “in simple Bulgarian language“ set and achieve the goal of maintaining, upholding and strengthening the religious identity of Bulgarians.

Недка Капралова е доцент, доктор по филология в Института за литература при БАН, специалист по литература на Българското възраждане. Автор на монографията „И ще господарува мъжът ти над теб (още за жените в културата). Архив на семейство Елисавета и Христо Караминкови“ (2013). Съставител и редактор на сборниците „Безсмъртната вселена. В чест на 90-годишнината на Клод Леви-Строс“ (огледално издание на български и френски език, 1998), „В търсене на митичната тъкан“ (огледално издание на български и френски език, 2002), „Сред текстовете и емоциите на Българското възраждане. В чест на проф. Румяна Дамянова“ (2009), както и на отделни изследвания върху литературни и социокултурни проблеми.
