The present paper deals with the autotextual potential of the codex “Book of Three Religions” written by Sofroniy Vrachanski in 1805. The main hypothesis, inspired by Radosvet Kolarov’s term “autotextuality”, is that the organization of the volume of three translated theological works on the Abrahamic religions and the original autobiography of the author correspond with a deliberately designed “epigraph”. The text of the “epigraph” is a maxim that can be regarded as a key for interpreting the whole logic of the volume. The maxim, which dates back to Antiquity coincides with Sofroniy’s idea of the different modes of time that define the role of humans as agents in global historic events.

Доц. д-р НАДЕЖДА АЕКСАНДРОВА преподава в Катедрата по българска литература в Софийския университет „Св. Климент Охридски”. Има две монографии и редица статии, свързани с българската и балканската литература през османския период, с история на жените и половете и с история на емоциите. Първата ѝ книга е върху женския въпрос в българската публицистиката и проза на XIX век, а втората се занимава с преплитането на литературни мотиви и трансфера на идеите в Османската империя във връзка с образа на платената султанска войска – еничарите. Д-р Александрова е специализирала в Будапеща, Букурещ, Истанбул и Кьолн. Участва в международни проекти по европейската програма COST, както и в мрежата за мобилност CEEPUS. Тя е асоцииран член на Центъра за академични изследвания в София, заместник-председател на Българското общество за проучване на осемнадесети век и член на редколегията на изданията „Women Writers in History“ (de Gruyter Brill) „Studies on Philosophy, Intellectual History, Arts, Sciences“ (Brepols), на българското списание „Дългият осемнадесети век“ и на сръбското „Книженство“.
