(Based on material from the old printed book Vita of Archbishop Grigory of Omirit, Belgrade, 1852)
The article presents the Bulgarian old printed edition – Life of Grigoriy Omiritski, prepared by Averkiy Popstoyanov, abbot of the Osogovo Monastery “St. Joachim Osogovski,” and remaining the only one in the National Revival printing tradition. The funds for the printing of the book were collected by supporters from the entire Bulgarian ethnic territory. Among them are National Revival teachers, clergymen, monks, writers, who became in the fol- lowing years some of the famous figures of the Bulgarian National Revival.

Elena Georgieva Uzunova (b. 1957). Associate Professor, PhD, archivist at the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library. She graduated in Bulgarian Philology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (1980). She defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic "Marginalia of Bulgarian Scribes from the 15th–17th Centuries and Their Significance for Bulgarian Historical Lexicology" (1997). She obtained her habilitation with the work "Catalogue of Slavic Manuscripts in the Sofia National Library," Vol. VI (2006). Her research interests are in the fields of scholarly descriptions and catalogues of collections of Slavic Cyrillic manuscripts from the 10th–19th centuries, as well as the preparation of academic and popular-science works in the field of the history of the Bulgarian language, Old Bulgarian literature, and culture. She served as an archivist and chief archivist in the Manuscripts and Old Printed Books Department at the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library (1980–2024).
