The paper is concerned with the nature of fact, as a part of the struc- ture of genre-hybrid fiction biographies. It is assumed that any fact created by author‘s imagination is implicitly literary unless it is a specific document. This argument is being supported by theoretical justifications by J. Tynyanov. The examples of the peripeteia of real facts about the personality and work of F. Dostoevsky in the genre of fictional biography are from the novel The Master of Petersburg by J. M. Coetzee. In this work, the author‘s interpreta- tion is achieved through an original intertextual play that reproduces Dostoev- sky‘s literary personality and the complex construction of his creative world.

Доц. д-р РУМЯНА ЕВТИМОВА е литературовед и дългогодишен преподавател по руска литература в СУ „Св. Климент Охридски“. Чела е лекции в НАТФИЗ и ШУ „Константин Преславски“, а също в Ягелонския университет, гр. Краков, Полша, и Белградския университет, Сърбия. Научните ѝ интереси са насочени към многообразието от художествени явления през Сребърния век на руската култура, към прозата на Вл. Набоков и М. Булгаков, към есеистиката и поезията на Й. Бродски и др. Изследва рецепцията на Ф. Достоевски, А. Чехов и М. Булгаков в съвременната руска и полска драматургия. Автор е на редица публикации в специализирани науч- ни списания и сборници, а също на раздел в учебника „Руска литература ХIХ и ХХ век“ (Пловдив, 2005). Издала е книгите „Догадки за смисъла“ (2006) и „Рецепции и рефлексии“ (2019). Превежда научна и художествена литература от руски, бела- руски и полски език; автор на предговорите към част от преведените книги. Носител е на наградата на Факултета по славянски филологии в Софийския университет за най-добра литературоведска книга за 2019 г.
