The article examines specific aspects of the emergence and development of avant-garde literature, in particular Italian Futurism, focusing on its links with Bulgarian Modernism. Through the analysis of “Zang Tumb Tuuum. Adrianopoli Ottobre 1912. Parole in Libertà” by Filippo Tomazo Marinetti the relation of the author and the work to specific moments of Bulgarian history is presented. It also traces the development of the sonorous exclamation “Zang tumb tumb”, which became a byword for European Futurism. Attention is also paid to the changes in perceptions of these literary-historical connections and processes.

Росица Митрева де Зуули е следвала икономически науки в София, Буенос Айрес и Виена. Работила е в сферата на авиацията. Между 2011 г. и 2015 г. завършва бакалавърска степен по Българска филология, а след това и магистърска по „Общославянска филология“ и „Сравнително литературознание“. От 2020 г. е докторант към института за Сравнително литературознание към Виенския университет с тема „Italien in der neubulgarischen Literatur. Literarische Motive. Einflüsse. Intertextualität“ [Италия в новобългарската литература. Литературни мотиви. Влияния. Интертекстуалност]. Нейни литературоведски изследвания и презентации за Пенчо Славейков, Теодор Траянов, Хорхе Луис Борхес и др. са публикувани на немски и английски език. Автор е нa научни статии в сборници, както и на монографията „Poetik und Architektonik der inneren Räume des gesamteuropäischen literarischen „Pantheons“ von Teodor Trajanov“ [Поетика и архитектоника на вътрешните пространства в общоевропейския „Пантеон“ на Теодор Траянов] (WVB, 2020). Научните ѝ интереси са в сферата на националните филологии, сравнителното литературознание и езикознание, глобална история, изкуство, архитектура и културология.
