Nikolay Papuchiev

Nikolay Papuchiev is a faculty member at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," specializing in cultural anthropology and folklore. His research focuses on popular culture, the study of nationalism, and the regional dimensions of cultural phenomena. His published monographs include Folklore and National Culture (2012), Anthropology of the Object and Symbolic Forms (2018), and The Museum – Possible and Impossible: Challenges of Mass Culture, Market Strategies, and Nostalgic Remembrance of the Past (2019). He is also the co-author, with Albena Vacheva, of Festivals. Networks.
