Boyan ManchevThe radicalisation of Kant’s critical philosophy by the Jena Romanticism and, above all, by Novalis, is decisive for the understanding of the modern relationship between philosophy and poetry (i.e. literature or, more generally, art), which is both a relationship of continuity and rupture: such is the starting hypothesis of the study. The shared horizon, but also a matrix of the ambiguous relationship of philosophy and poetry, is the turn I venture to describe as a transition from ontology to ontogony. After Kant, ontology became a field of modal orientation: the world is a necessary world. The world is becoming a task. The study delves into the conceptual depth of this turn, respectively of the relation between philosophy and poetry, based on the reading of Kant’s critical philosophy proposed by Gilles Deleuze. The analysis sets itself the task of highlighting unexpected yet crucial dimensions of the complex relationship between philosophy and literature, established in modern terms only in the second half of the 18th century. The figures of “Reason” and “Madness”, expressing the immanent tension of Kant’s productive power for imagination, will occupy a central place among them.

Боян Манчев (София, 1970) е философ, доцент в Нов български университет (от 2001) и професор в Берлинския университет за изкуства (от 2011); гост-професор в Университета Холинс (от 2014) и Директор на програма и бивш вицепрезидент на Международния философски колеж в Париж (2004-2010). Работи в полето на онтологията, философията на изкуството и политическата философия, разработвайки проекта за модална онтология. Автор е на петнайсет книги на български, френски, английски и италиански език, между които: „Свобода въпреки всичко. Свръхкритика и модална онтология“ (София, 2021), „L’altération du monde“ (Paris, 2009; прев. на японски 2020), „Новият Атанор. Елементи на философската фантастика“ (София, 2019), „Облаци. Философия на свободното тяло“ (София, 2017; англ. изд. 2019), „Логика на политическото“ (София, 2012), „Miracolo“ (Milano, 2011), „La métamorphose et l’instant – Désorganisation de la vie“ (Paris, 2009), „Тялото-Метаморфоза“ (София, 2007), „Невъобразимото“ (София, 2003), както и на близо триста студии и статии, публикувани на български, френски, английски, немски, италиански, испански, португалски, японски, китайски, руски, шведски, сръбски, словенски, арабски и други езици. Член на редакционните колегии на сп. „Критика и хуманизъм“ (София), Lignes (Париж) и Stasis (Санкт Петербург), както и на редакционния съвет на Studia Litteraria Serdicensia (София) и Materiali Foucaultiani (Рим/Париж). Заедно с Ани Васева и Леонид Йовчев е съосновател на творческия колектив „Метеор“.
