REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLICATION
1. GENERAL REQUREMENTS
■ Volume of articles – up to 30 standard pages (1800 characters / page), incl. abstracts, bibliography, tables, appendices.
■ Articles are accepted electronically in doc / docx and pdf format.
■ Fonts: for Cyrillic, Latin and Greek – Times New Roman, 12 pt; for the Old Bulgarian alphabets (Cyrillic and Glagolitic) – CyrillicaOchrid10U or Bukyvede, 13 pt.
■ Languages of the publications: Bulgarian, English, Russian, German, French.
■ Each article, regardless of the language of the publication, should be accompanied by an abstract in English and in the language of the publication in a volume of about 200–300 words and up to 5 pcs. keywords / expressions (Key words).
■ The title of the article is given in CAPITAL LETTERS (including in the abstract in English), the author’s name – In lower case.
■ The author’s name must be accompanied by an affiliation: institutional employment, academic degree, academic position, e-mail address (preferably institutional), ORCID iD, Web of Science Researcher ID. It is also given in English, without abbreviations.
■ The articles should be accompanied by a short biographical information (CV) for the author (about 150 words) in free form: current scientific status and institution, year of birth, main areas of scientific interest and specializations, doctorates finished (topic, year), main publications (books).
■ Articles can be accompanied by illustrations – color and black and white (as color will be only in the online version).
Illustrations should be in jpg or tif format (with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi). They should be sent in separate files and inside the text in the appropriate places.
■ Short quotations should be given in quotation marks in the main text. The longer ones are desirable to be separated as a separate paragraph (block quote), pt 11, without quotation marks, with indentation and separated by one blank line from the main text, with obligatory reference to the source.
■ Footnotes to the text and bibliographic references should be under the line of the respective page, automatically entered with general numbering (Insert – Footnote).
■ The bibliographic description under the line should be in expanded form, as the author’s surname is inverted and given in CAPITAL LETTERS.
■ In case of repeated citation of a certain source – be it primary or secondary – the reference can be in the main text in a very abbreviated form, as this should be specifically agreed upon in the first citation.
The use of generally accepted abbreviations of classical works or basic multi-volume editions is allowed.
■ After the article, two separate lists are made – BIBLIOGRAPHY and REFERENCES (in the appropriate alphabetical order, without numbering).
The list of the bibliography contains the complete bibliographic data of all titles cited below the line in the text, written in their original language.
In the list of references, the titles in Cyrillic and Hellenic are transliterated into Latin.
■ The spelling of articles that are not in Bulgarian follows the relevant language norm.
■ Each article is subject to anonymous review.
